Question Analytics (Professional only)

New in Academy v2.3.5, you can now perform additional analysis on test (quiz) and survey questions. This is particularly useful if you are using the same survey / test across multiple courses, as the analytics informs you which course it relates to, the learner who provided the response, and the time / date.

To access Question Analytics, you must have a Professional Administrator account. On the Academy home page, click the Question Analytics icon -

When you do this, you will be shown a list of test and survey questions in the Academy. This will include tests / surveys from courses that you have created yourself AND courses that you have inherited (i.e. Ideagen courses).

Please note that only the following questions will be displayed:

• Questions from active courses
• Questions with the following types:
  • Free text
  • Matrix
  • Multiple choice - single answer
  • Multiple choice - multiple answers.
  • Note: Therefore, other test question types such as hotspots or drag-and-drop, will not be displayed.

You can filter the list of questions by typing into the box at the bottom-left. You can download a list of questions in CSV format (with any filter applied) by clicking the download icon - - to the right of the filter text box.

To view an analysis, click the download icon - - beside a question. Note: If you try to download multiple analytic reports in quick succession, your browser may block the download and you will need to set your browser to allow for multiple downloads from www.ideagenacademy.com

The CSV report should open automatically in the following format: 

• Course Name: The name of the course where the survey / test question was asked. Remember, you can reuse a survey / test question across multiple courses.
• Date: The date which the learner answered the question
• Question Title: The survey question which the learner answered
• Answer:The answer the learner provided. For multiple-choice questions, this will be the answer the user selected from a list of options.
• Username: The username of the learner who answered the question.
• Branch Name: The branch which the learner is a member of.
